Day 3
Daniel added tree branch clippings, and I had to hurry to get some tomatoes and marigolds planted before the ground was too wet from rain. The clippings camouflage the very small plants, but you can see where I placed stakes directly behind the tomato seedlings.

Day 1
The purpose of this blog is to chronicle our journey as we begin our Eden Garden project. The idea for this came from the video that our friend Pete Torcivia shared with us. If you have never watched the original Back to Eden film by Paul Gautschi, please do so. It is a blessing. In the video he tells about his walk with God and the lessons the Lord taught Paul about Himself through gardening. Paul shares the sustainable concept of organic gardening the Lord showed him as he sought His help with his gardening challenges. Watch the film for free at www.backtoedenfilm.com. There you can also find instructions on how to begin your own Back to Eden Garden.
Here is our introductory video.
This is Mendi. She was not in any way prepared to be featured in a public video, but here she is talking about the purpose of mulch.
A bit of the property - tree from The Shire
Somehow we thought we were recording the ceremonial breaking of ground on our first Eden Garden section, but we weren't. So, this is shortly thereafter while we're still prepping the area.
Ready for covering - all glory goes to the Lord!
Placing the covering
And that's it for today, folks!
